'First's are always special. First words, First day at school, First love.
First post. A little zing has been robbed by the tiring effort to come up with an available address for the blog. All the same, I feel stupidly proud to have finally overcome my love of procrastination and made a start.
Writing is easy. Writing is difficult. In the past, I tried keeping journals (I never used the phrase "Dear Diary..." and would like to know who does ! ). But I found it easier to share thoughts with friends. And about thoughts that cannot be shared, they seemed more secure in my head than being committed to paper. I am not writing off journal keeping, it was just not my cup of tea.
So, why blog? I can repeat thousands of reasons avid bloggers swear by every time they come across a non believer. I won't. Not that I agree or disagree with them. It is my inexperience that forbids me and my genuine curiosity that drives me to make those discoveries, of the joy of blogging, on my own. After all, this is only a First.
